Question about acceptance
(This post is regarding a UK school, but I thought my question might be appropriate here. I'll probably be x-posting it.)
About a week ago I received an email from my potential supervisor at a UK graduate program I applied to saying he's recommended I be accepted into the university and that I should be hearing from the university officially in a few days.
I'm super excited as the school is one of my top choices, so my question is does an informal email like this basically mean I've been accepted to the school? I still haven't heard officially from the university so of course I'm afraid something is going to go wrong (like the uni saying something like, "actually...no. Sorry."
