(1) Work for a historic site or museum--or any other type of nonprofit (including perhaps a local university). I am actually working as a tour guide this summer. It is REALLY fun. You could also get a job on the administrative staff, perhaps as a admin. assist. coordinator-type person or in the development department as a grant writer and assistant. The web site idealist.org has a lot of nonprofit jobs listed (not many from cultural orgs or universities, though--more of a general social service pool).
(2) Look for general clerical/data entry jobs. Search for the phrase "entry level" in job databases to get positions that don't require experience.
(3) Check out AmeriCorps/VISTA in your area.
(4) Do you have solid foreign language skills? You could work as a translator. I have a history friend who worked for a textbook company, helping to write and edit their Spanish language books.
(5) Ask your professors and everyone else you know for ideas. Maybe they or someone they know is hiring.
(6) Teach English abroad for a year! Korea seems to be pretty lucrative and easy to get into.

I was particularly glad to learn about idealist.org, and VISTA sounds very intriguing as well.
One of my closest friends is in Korea right now teaching English!
