I could really use some input/advice with making this decision!
My program is in Health Sciences/Epidemiology (MSc); schools are in Canada; both supervisor share common interests/same field; neither schools conducted interviews, so admissions without interview.
School A: One of the best schools in the country. This admission offer I just received today through email; to be honest, I was so sure I would get rejected by this school, so didn't think I would have this dilemma at all. I have yet to receive the official letter from the Dept.
I spoke to my potential supervisor once before I applied, when she agreed to write me a letter of support for my admission. The entire conversation was awkward (maybe that's just me being overly critical), but it only lasted 10 minutes.
School B: This admission offer came in February, and I have till next week to make my decision. I've spoken to my potential supervisor through email and phone, and I really think we can work well together. When I spoke to her last week, I said that there is a "90% chance that I would accept the offer." This was before I got accepted into School A.
Now what? Would you guys advise me to contact School B's supervisor and let her know I also got accepted into School A (so better chances at funding)?
And, none of these schools have offered me any sort of funding (yet I hope). Should I email/hassle them about it? Do I need to sound aggressive, like I won't accept unless I got some sort of funding?
I'm still waiting to hear back from School C, which is my undergrad institution and in terms of reputation better than A and B, but I'm reluctant to stay at the same school for grad (and I'm sure they won't offer me any funding).
