This is kind of a stupid question, but does anyone know whether University of Michigan deadlines are at 5 pm or midnight? My deadline's today, but nowhere on the website do they say anything about time (other than to try to submit 2-3 weeks early-- which I obviously didn't do!) Thanks!

ETA: The office is closed for the holiday, so I can't call and

michigan, deadlines

Do 5pm Michigan time (So does that make it central?) just to be safe.

Thanks-- I'm almost done, but I just wanted to know if I could nap/chill out for a while or if I had to get it in RIGHTNOW. Looks like the answer is RIGHTNOW.

Good luck! My roommate missed the Columbia med school deadline by an hour a couple of years ago because she forgot to take the time difference into account. Luckily, she's happy at NYU, but boy were there tears that night :(

HA.

For anyone interested in going to UM, be careful. When we say "Michigan time," it means 10 after the hour. :) Sooooo the OP actually had until 5:10 ;)

Haha - I love it. Much better than French time, or Italian time, where the leeway is in the hours range. When I was studying abroad in undergrad, profs regularly would nonchalantly walk in 45 minutes late to class and just begin lecturing. No apology, no acknowledgment of the delay, just going into it like everything was fine.
