Just an advisory for the future, a_a doesn't allow people to delete their posts after a number of comments have been made. I quote from the community rules:

"14. People who delete posts after substantial comments (10-15+) have been made will have posting privileges revoked. It is unfair to those who have contributed to the post to remove it. If you feel that your original post reveals too much personal information, you ought to edit it to remove that information. You may email a mod if you deem responses inappropriate, or alternately simply disable emailing of comments (We tend to be pretty chatty, so it's worth disabling it anyway for busier posts). Do not disable commenting."

I don't know how many comments were placed on your post but you might get yourself in trouble with the mods if you delete a post again.

The reason that people in the other community got mad at you is because there's a lost of cross-membership between academics_anon, applyingtograd, and, for that matter, gradstudents, so members of those communities tend to get really cranky over-crossposting. It's best to pick which community you think your post is most relevant to, post to that one and stick with it.

I'm telling you all this because I'm one of the few people out there who don't think you're endsindillusion. I'm assuming you're a genuinely nice human being who doesn't want to cause trouble and is really new to LJ. I hope that's true.

*Wonders if there'd be anything left of endsindillusion's posts if s/he did that.*

Well, there usually *is* nothing left of endsindillusion's posts, since most of them end up disappearing completely within 24 hours or so.

But there's a certain amount of futility in getting endsindillusion to obey the no-deletion rule, since she just comes back with a brand new sock.
