This might be a long shot - Late deadline Comp Lit PhD programs?

A friend of mine had a personal, "real life" crisis that caused her to miss her early deadlines. She is regrouping for December 15th but also looking to add a few later-deadline schools to her list. I've been trying to help her out, but I'm applying to English and am not all that familiar with the Comp Lit field. I'm finding our deadlines, at the

Do you know if she's interested in applying to schools only in certain geographical areas? Please give us more info about that. Thanks

In the US, mainly. Maybe Canada. No more specific limitations than that.

University of Toronto has a MA and Phd in Comparative Literature with a Feb.1 deadline if that helps?

i have no idea about their relative strengths and weaknesses, though. inasmuch as complit overlaps with english literature, i like buffalo enough to make it top of my list.

Yeah, their comp lit seems rather heavily into modernism, unfortunately - English is plenty full of early periods though, which is why I'm applying there! Thanks for the suggestion.

NYU is due 12/18, I think, so you may want to warn your friend if she thinks it's January. The 12/30 or 1/1 dates I've noticed are Harvard, Cornell, and Brown.
