Hey guys. I'm a first time poster here. I've been checking this place out for a while and would like to get a little bit of insight, advice and some ideas. I also wouldn't mind hearing some stories about your personal experiences. The more information, the better, I'd say.
Anyway, here's how things are looking for me. I'm an undergrad in my second year for community college with Biotechnology as my current major. My plan is to take two years in community college, then transfer to a university to finish up. Right now, my grades are looking pretty good. (Above average at best) But my main problem is... I have no idea what I'm going to do after I graduate from college.
Do I go out to get a job in my career? Or do I go to grad school to get my Masters degree? What are the benefits of going to grad school?
For my ideas right now: I might consider joining the Air Force once I'm finished with school or if my current plans end up flopping. My friend is currently doing this and he says that the benefits are great. And a second plan I have is to possibly take some classes overseas. But so far, it feels like I'm running a race without a finish line in sight or I'm getting yanked around without knowing what I'm really doing in life.
Any thoughts or suggestions? I'll contact my advisor about this when I get the chance too.
