To Email Or Not To Email?

Hey Everyone,

So... A little over 2 weeks ago I found out I got into NYU's MSW program and that I have till March 24 to put down a 200 deposit and secure my spot. My top two choices are University of Washington and Portland State. University of Washington is still making me wait (they say they will have everyone notified by late April) and when I emailed Portland State my situation they told me they would notify me the week of the 16th. It is now almost the end of the week of the 16th, I have barely left my computer and received no email from them. I am really really worried they forgot. I don't want to be a nag, especially because the woman who I have emailed with has been really sweet and I know they have a lot of applications and not enough staff, but... not knowing really really blows. At this point I just want to know because not knowing has consumed me. I really want to send them an email that would go something along these lines:

Dear ___________,

I really appreciate your flexibility and the time you have committed to replying to my emails and reviewing my application. Previously you said you would let me know the school's decision the week of the 16th and I was just writing to see if that decision had been made.

Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

What do people think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If I do email them it will probably be tomorrow afternoon...
