Undergrad thesis??

Hey,

I just have one question:

How important is an undergrad thesis for grad school?  I know its recommended, but would I be considered less 'competitive' if I didn't have one?  I haven't done a thesis or an independent research courses, so I'm little worried about admissions.  I do have some research experience working in professor's labs, etc.
