Hey again--thanks so much for the advice with what to do about the missing signature across the recommendation flap. It looks like I'll be sending out everything tomorrow, so I'll just have my recommender sign it tomorrow morning before running to the post office.

But now that I'm working on compiling my documents to mail off, a few questions have come up (FYI, the apps due tomorrow are both online, and I'm applying to graphic design MFA/MS programs):

- Have you included some kind of cover letter/table of contents with your name on it to include in front of the packet of documents you're mailing in, or do you just figure the documents are self-explanatory enough that you just put them into the envelope in the requested order?

- Do you print out a copy of your online application to enclose, even if the school doesn't ask for it? (This ties in with the above, in terms of identifying yourself as soon as they begin looking through the documents.)

- For your statement of purpose, are you including a standard composition header (your name, intended program, "statement of purpose", etc.)?

- If there happen to be any people submitting visual portfolios, if you're submitting a website, do you just include a page saying, "To access my web-based portfolio, please visit [URL]"?

Thank you so much! This is such an awesome community, and I appreciate everyone's patience and willingness to help!

I get the feeling I'll be working for a while...I'm really struggling with one of my essays. For people with Jan. 5th deadlines, GOOD LUCK!
