Hi everyone!
This is my first post here, I have been reading all the entries/scanned through related tags for quite some time now and I tried to use the search to see if this question has been posted but the search doesn't work, so my apologies if it has!
I am a third year art history major. A professor I just took an art history class with went to my dream Ivy League graduate school for his B.A. and M.A. I have signed up for his class next quarter, and plan on taking him again the quarter after that. His wife who teaches in the same department also received her M.A. and PhD at the same school (so I might take classes with her as well). Despite that (his wife), I was wondering if I were to get my letter of recommendation from him for the school he went to; would it yield a positive influence on my chances for getting in? If the professor is an alumnus of the school, does it make my chances any greater or special in referring me in the LOR? Thank you!
