Berkeley online application
Hi all,
I know there's some others out there applying to Berkeley, so just a couple questions to see if anyone can help navigate this application...
1. "Academic Interests"
-says to fill out the faculty you've contacted/want to work with "if your proposed department requires this." Anyone know if it's required for English? Can't seem to find it.
2. Domestic students fellowship info
-for the "Additional Living Expenses 2009-2010 academic year," how are other people going about estimating things? I don't want to make it look like I'm grubbing for money, but at the same time I'm honestly BROKE and $40,000 in debt in student loads already. So what is a reasonable amount to estimate for "shipping costs, van rental, apartment deposits"? Also, re: medical care, I don't have any insurance, but I also don't have any conditions that I KNOW are going to need medical attention. Should I put nothing, or make something up? Do eye doctors count?
