Hey guys
Well like everyone else I'm trying to get into grad school, so here it is:
I graduated from FSU in 2006 with a BSc in Biochemistry and I had an okay GPA of 3.2 (I made C's in some classes). I recently took a couple of classes at a community college which raised it up to 3.7 (if the classes count at all). I took the GRE already got a 600 verbal 730 math 4.5 on the essay part and I currently work in an analytical/chemistry based lab for General Dynamics.
However I'm more interested in developemental/evolutionary biology. I want to focus on how small changes in genomic patterns/alterations to base pairing can have effects on a species. I want to study how these mutations come about in response to environmental changes or adaptations to prey/predator relationships.
I didn't really do any research while in undergrad. I worked part-time in an Biochem lab but didn't have the chance to do anything (I had a job so i quit after the first semester).
What I want to know is if I have a chance at getting accepted into a biology program. Or if there is anything I can do to increase my chances. I'm kind of nervous about my lack of experience. I am trying for Fall 2009 and would appreciate any and all feedback.
Thanks!!
