Hello!
Does anybody have any suggestions for grad programs (PhD, MA, MBA, a combination of those or otherwise) that includes some (not necessarily all) combination of the following:

Urban Planning

American Studies/History
Southern History
Gender/Race/Class studies

Grad school can be a real burn out, even if you love what you are doing and it seems like you don't really know what you want.
All of those programs are VERY different and lead to different outcomes. For ex, urban planning and MBA are more professional programs that lead to specific jobs and you will end with the Masters level degree. However, for WMST, American Studies/History, Southern History, and Gender/Race/Class studies you are looking at more of a preparation for a career in academia and you will likely (have to, basically) pursue the PhD in the subject area.
My suggestion to you: Figure out what you want out of life. If you see yourself as an "old codger type professor" (as my Major Professor once said) go with one of the academic subjects. If you do not (or you loathe the idea of five to seven years in graduate school) I suggest you pursue one of the two professional degrees you have suggested.
Are you just about to graduate? If I were you, I would take a year off before pursuing grad school. You need to know what you want before you begin, otherwise it truly will drive you crazy. Take a year off and work. Maybe in one (or more) of the areas you have listed and see what you like. See how the shoe fits, for lack of a better phrase. You will be a much happier person for it.

I love all of those things and am just curious to know what is out there in terms of interdisciplinary programs. I am a bit post-faux-interdisciplinary stuff (which may sound a bit obtuse if you aren't coming out of a "classical" WMST undergraduate program), and would be thrilled if there is a program out there that would say, focus on Women in the U.S. socio-political environment with a joint MBA in non-profits, advocacy and small business building.

Good luck with reapplying (if that's what you're doing; I seem to remember T saying you were going to do that).
