 Hey thanks for the people who replied to my last post full of nervousness, you definitely helped rationalized things. But now I am so over it because I just received my acceptance letter from UGA which was my first choice program

I am in the Creative Writing MFA program. Athens is a great town, I like the faculty and there are a lot of cool/interestig people around. The university bureaucracy on the other hand sucks. Avoid it as much as humanly possible.

haha, advice well taken. unfortunately i'm sure to have a run in with administration eventually. btw where do most grad students live?

I don't know about "most". I live in the general vicinity of Five Points off of Milledge Ave. An apartment in a house or a duplex is better, because the apartment complexes are full of undergrads which is like living next door to a troop of howler monkeys. Who are drunk.

lol yeah clearly the undergrads are whom i'm trying to stay away from. i'm hoping that my department will send out information about housing or at least information on the cohort.

mine honestly came out of left field, they received my last transcript less than 2 weeks ago. I wasn't expecting to hear a peep from them for at least another month. So probably when you least expect it, a letter will be in your mailbox.
