Application fee waiver

Dec 13, 2007 15:49

Uh-oh.

I contacted someone at one of my prospective schools at around two o'clock today and asked her to fax me an application fee waiver form. She sent it to me immediately. As soon as I got it I ran it over to Financial Aid (I work about two minutes from the FA office), had the officer sign off on it, stopped and got some coffee and talked to a professor, and faxed the form back to my prospective university at 2:30-2:45. I checked my email and saw that she had sent me confirmation of the fax, so I replied and let her know that I'd faxed in the completed form and thanked her for her help.

She sent me an email back about ten minutes ago (3:30ish) that just said, "You already got your financial aid officer to sign the form?"

So oh god. I think it seems clear that she thinks I forged the Financial Aid Officer's signature or something. I responded again, explaining that I work next to the FA building, I've already had them fill out five other fee waiver forms, they know that I'm eligible, I just needed a quick sig, etc. I was really polite and said thank you a second time.

I'm waiting for an email back now. Has this happened to anyone before? Any advice? I didn't cheat or fake the signature, but I really need the fee waiver!
