I submitted all my online applications this week and mailed off all my supplemental materials. I breathed a huge sigh of relief on Tuesday night when I realized I had no more essays to write, no more boxes to check, no more personal information to fill in for the 10000th time.
Then I get an automated email from a school I submitted an electronic application to this week. They have ANOTHER online application that I have to fill out before my application will be considered. There was no allusion made to this second form anywhere on the website. I thought maybe it was just to confirm contact details but no, it asked you to upload documents (which I had already sent by mail, as per the instructions on the website), request online recommendations which are "strongly preferred" (too late - I mailed in the paper ones this week as the website didn't say there was the option of online), and provide additional statements about which faculty I wanted to work with and why plus a dozen other questions. A lot of the questions were duplicated from the first form, and all the additional materials it asked me to upload were ones that I had sent in hard copies of this week because the website doesn't mention that there's an upload option.
Grrr! Anyone else had any 'surprise' forms to fill out or additional requests for info that seemingly appeared out of nowhere? I'm now worried that I'll be inundated with another 9 forms to complete before the deadlines in 2 weeks.
