I'm currently finalising my final-semester course list, and I had a quick question.
The MA I want to do is a cross-departmental taught master's in Culture and Colonialism. I'm majoring in English and History, and I've a minor in Sociology/Political Studies.
All my history classes were optional, and out of ten I took six on various colonial/imperial topics, so I'm okay there. But out of the three totally optional English courses I took (we had six semi-optional ones) I haven't taken any with a connection to the MA (I took two Shakespeare classes and Poetry of WWI).
So, for my final English option, would it be better to take a course with a colonial connection, or go with the course I'm most interested in (Post-War British Fiction)? Or do you think the six history courses would be enough to show a strong interest in the field of study?
Thanks!
