Yes, it's pretty. Yes, it's tech. But given the uncertainty I've felt in cross-winds on my carbon-Aluminium-mix frame bike, I don't think I'd want any lighter, frankly. Maybe it's worthwhile in conditions without a wind variable, like an indoor track, and highest-end competition - otherwise, it's just a waste of money.

Now, if more carbon-fibre bike frames can help bring material costs down to bring this VW car to market sooner, I'm all for it!
