Accidentally stumbled upon Swiss military propaganda.

Figure 1: PanzerGrenadiers
Figure 2: Ludicrously inefficient bilingual (trilingual?) operations.
Figure 3: Actually, pretty nifty quick-upper story entrances.
Figure 4: a consolation, the kids know the whole thing's a joke. EDIT: Relatively filthy narration, incidentally, but that's not really surprising.

The second value I can imagine this force is for is asset-security, in the sense of the 1st Cavalry at Fort Knox.

When I consider the classic use of such forces, in defence of invaders, I have a hard time imagining any of Switzerland's neighbours turning to military force in the first place, and in that unlikely event, units like these Grenadiers being combat-effective for any span longer than 24 hours from the onset of their deployment.

Ah well, in the improbable event, these 30-91 specialists could be detached to raise hell both sides of the border. Still, their effectiveness would decline rapidly.

EDIT2: additional video, because I'm a sucker for cool flying airshows. :-)

EDIT3: WTF?! Umm...it looks like this pilot doesn't fly Airbuses all that often.
