Hawaii Report: Work Day One
My allergies were barely abated, but the coastal winds have helped. The smell of delicious fried garlic lingering on the wind from kitchens below...
I had the ideal Island breakfast (for Honolulu): papaya (& lemon), toast, coffee...for $10.00 including tax & tip. Yum! It should make me justifiably hungry for lunch later today.
On the walk back, I got a long-streaming friendly conversation with an Annapolis exile/refugee regarding my shoes ... he was most impressed with my seamed shoes. He's clearly one of those living a marginal and happy existence by the shore, and quite friendly regardless.
Incidentally, all these rains have had a significant impact ... apparently 1.96 million gallons of "wastewater" have spilled into Pearl Harbor.
