Thoroughly entertaining, and seems to pull in some of the comedy concepts of productions like Shrek with the darker humour and magic-realism of The Sandman. It's hard to judge an entire (and ongoing) series from one issue, but it does feel more serialized than overarching narrative, in the way The Sandman was. I felt that distinctly with the status quo-reset conclusion of the first issue. I can see this series pulling me in, but it does have a Star Trek quality to it...if I proceed, I should proceed with caution. ;-)
