Shir-Shir Day...ROC celebrates 95 years of anti-imperial existence

Inherited from the KMT, Taiwan celebrates the anniversary of its establishment, and the defeat of 2000 years of Imperial rule. Their own official calendar marks this as Year 95.

I wonder what celebrations they'll have in store for Year 100?

Celebrating days of independence and establishment are all par for the course - but to me, nationalism feels almost nostalgic...if it weren't so devoid of innocence.

Also: I was always amused that for all their differences, both Chinas could agree on this man's contribution.
