So the past few days have been fun. My friend AJ from NH is down here for work. I met up w/ him last Tuesday night at the Jackalope for a beer, then Wednesday I didn't go to any day shows, and there wasn't really any night show I wanted to see. I was bored though and txted AJ and he told me to come out and see Blacklight Pool. I had no idea who they were, but found out it was the other singer from the get up kids!
Yesterday was lots of day shows. Free beer and food at the first place, I ended up getting tipsy, tired and a headache by the end of the night. But then I saw Mates of State again adn everything was better!!! They make me so happy... Saturday night I went to Emo's to see them and it was so fun, everyone was dancing everywhere. This show, not so much. It was kinda disappointing, but I still had fun. Then I went home and went to bed and i've been sitting in my pj's all day today. No shows for me today either... although I think I might venture out tonight to just some little show that I don't have to worry about and tomorrow are lots of day shows.
Wednesday night- Blackpool lights
Thursday day-
Habana Caffe- Crystal Skulls, Pink Mountaintops
Emos- The Most Serene Republic, Black Heart Procession, Of Montreal.
Parish- a bunch of Barsuk bands, and mates of state! I left early for Nada surf, I was pooped.
