I need a profile picture.

Yeah I don't know what the subject has to do with this entry either.

So when my Spanish teacher said he would be giving quizzes for three consecutive days on random subjects? HE WASN'T KIDDING. WE REALLY DO HAVE QUIZZES FOR THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS ON RANDOM SUBJECTS.
Luckily I think I passed them, but we have another on Monday and I don't know how I'll do on that one...

We also had tests in Math and Language Arts, which were okay. I'm super tired though. I need to curl up with some Monochrome Factor and a blanket and take a nap.

Also, my sister and I went to our first convention!! WHY HAS NO ONE TOLD ME THESE THINGS ARE SO FUN? xD I went to NYC Animefest as Smile!Ciel and she went as Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew and was SO CUTE. I don't think she even practiced for photos, but every time she had one taken her pose was just so adorable. (BTW whoever shouted "corset scene" at the Black Butler Q&A, you need a hug-tackle. Because that was hilarious. 83)

The screening of the Black Butler dub was like the epicenter of all things wonderful and dipped in molten sugar. Bardoroy's (so we're not going with Baldo now? AWESOME.) VA sounds so absolutely PERFECT. I luv his little Cockney-English accent (sister and I both agreed he sounded like Subject 3 from Professor Layton, doesn't he? x3). Meirin sounded almost exactly like her Japanese seiyuu (her voice was just as raspy and scratchy), and Madame Red was just fabulous. Sebastian's didn't really fit no matter how many times he spoke, but I love Michael J. Tatum to bits so I can't say that I hated it. Because HOMYGOD, during the panel, he was adorable. He and Ian Sinclair started doing this really dignified goofy half-waltz together just before the screening started and it was SO. CUTE.

The number of fujoshi in the audience was also really great. :) At every little subtle moment that even suggested the slightest hint of an allusion of maybe-yaoi, the fangirls went batshit crazy. 8D Myself and my sister included. Especially for that TINY, not-even-a-fraction-of-a-second moment where you see Grell in the second episode and he says literally half a line. The squees of joy echoed throughout the Javits Center and beyond.

Although eventually our dad (who insisted on coming in to see the screening with us, I think he's been converted to fanboy-ism. OTL) caught on to this, because later he told us that he was surprised that we noticed all the "homoeroticism and implied homosexuality" in the first two episodes (unbeknownst to the fact that me and my sister support Sebaciel like hammocks support fat guys).

We spent the remainder of the con trying to find where everyone got their yaoi paddles. Everyone seemed to have at least one except for us and we could not find the source.

I also couldn't find a Ciel plushie. My 6-year-old sister really wanted one and I couldn't get it for her...
She settled for a Sebby plushie and a Lau figurine, though. So I guess that's okay. :)

Which reminds me, my mom was asking me if Kuro was child-friendly (since now my sisters are watching it, too) and I COULD NOT KEEP A STRAIGHT FACE.
Mom: This show isn't DIRTY, is it?
Me:    Of course not!!
Mom: ....
Me:    .... (poker face gone in 3... 2...)
Mom: ....
Me:    ................ *GIGGLESNORTS AND KEELS OVER WITH LAUGHTER*

I mean it's kindofreallynotthatbad as long as you're not wearing your fangirl-goggles.

Hmmm... read more fanfics and pull an all-nighter, or actually get at least a minuscule amount of sleep so that I might possibly be able to function on Monday. Ah haz a dilemma...

Actually I might just go to bed because my computer room is really damn cold. Polar bears would freeze their ass off if they lived in my computer room. If ice cubes and snow cones had a sub-zero ice-baby, that would be my computer room.

I'm off to go huddle against the air vents in my room for warmth. And I'll get a profile pic eventually I swear.

school, rl
