Like I said in the comments over at answer_key, I totally adored this fic, because it was kind of a crazy concept to come up with, and it worked wonderfully.

Also, out of curiosity - does that article mention the board dimensions for the match between the AI and the 5-dan? (The link is broken.) Do you remember if it was in 13x13 or 19x19 (normal size)? Because, even though beginners learn to play in 13x13 or 9x9, I for one find it much harder to win in smaller boards than the usual size, and everyone I know is pretty much the same. I'm not 5-dan or anything, but I was just wondering, since last I heard, AI was at 5 kyu in 19x19 ^^

Yup, it was the third scene (I was [greg])! It was more a discussion of the possibility of 'sai' being an AI, rather than 'sai' actually being one, but it was included. And thanks for that article, it's really interesting ♥
