With exception of Remy and Minna, I'm not even sure anyone I know still uses LJ. But this is big news so it deserves a post.
I'm moving to Denver.
Yes, Colorado. I put my deposit on our new apartment in the mail today. Move in date is October 1st.
Why? Because I can't get much closer to bottom of the barrel here. Lets face it, This area sucks. I feel like I've been fighting an uphill battle on gravel and mud, taking 1 step forward for every 2 back, for a decade. I'm college educated, intelligent, resourceful and ambitious. Yet, I don't seem to qualify for anything above menial, fiscally unsustainable positions. There's too much competition for jobs I don't even want to compete over let alone the ones I want.
So we're leaving. Justine and I are packing up and finding greener pastures.
And yes Remy, Pittsburgh was on the list, but we felt getting out of the Northeast all together was our best bet.
