...My, why the sudden need for elevators? Don't tell me your age is catching up to you. Though I suppose I wouldn't mind a few ramps here and there for the more arduous treks upstairs.
HEY LEXI CAN WE ARRANGE IC BETWEEN JADE AND NAGISA FOR DIST TO MAKE A ROBOT DOG FOR RITSU? 8DapplerabbitsJuly 8 2009, 02:41:05 UTC
I know. It's horrible. He arrived in a wheelchair, sightless, sitting outside - they're cruel. We've decided to attempt an arrangement with these scientists for a guide dog, or at the very least a cane. But seeing how they sent him here, I'm not sure they're interested in accommodating for the blind.
OH HEY SURE! HE'LL THINK OF WAYS TO MAKE DIST WORK >8)coronercolonelJuly 8 2009, 09:39:22 UTC
A guide dog might be asking too much of our captors, but I'm certain you can commission someone in the city to help you with a cane. Hmm, agreed. This duly confirms that they send people to Discedo with no particular qualification whatsoever.
OKAY COOL~ It was Eric's idea, so lol DEFINITELY OKAY WITH DISTapplerabbitsJuly 8 2009, 15:09:21 UTC
Ritsu wants a dog; seeing as the dog interacts with the environment, and guide dogs are almost always extremely intelligent breeds that learn their owner's behaviours and will then help the owner as much as they can think to do, having both a dog and a cane is much more practical. I'll get him a cane, but... I'm going to also try to ask for a dog from those ridiculous people; but, no, I don't think we'll actually get one from them, even though he's the only person here who really needs one.
I agree; it has to be completely arbitrary. If they had sent Ritsu mere hours earlier on our 'timeline' at home, he would have been quite useful, I think - and not handicapped at all. They've sent other people in our world from various points on the 'timeline,' so I know they are capable of choosing. But they chose this one; I don't think their goal is to advance this city. I think their goal is to entertain themselves, perhaps - like with a doll house. It's sick.

I see. My apologies. To send even the disabled into this city...
