today is only good because Mayday's songs have been accompanying me for the whole day as I try to cramp my brain up with membrane proteins, residue numbers, etc. I dont think I can actually remember for exams! Like I am already jumbling up everything and getting confused! >< It's ok, I can probably survive so go on fighting ya!

Oh, speaking of Mayday, if I have not already told you (I think anyone who reads my lj will already know by now though)...

WOOHOO. yes I am going to Mayday's tiny London concert on Tuesday with Gee! Gee's really nice because she's only accompanying me because of my strong craze over the band. Quoting what HC said, "Wembley arena is different from Wembley stadium", making all three of us realise that it's going to be quite a tiny concert thing. Oh, well, I know a lot of chinese students here are going though! lol

The other day I was commenting to Will over skype on how Mayday's songs have a tad bit of similarity to that of Oasis, and he was like "of course, they did state that they are Oasis' fans afterall". So he actually bothered to check up on my favourite band, which makes me feel touched because despite not knowing the lyrics of the songs, my choice in music has still been respected and appreciated! yup, oh I also need to show off my Vday CDs from Will all the way imported from Taiwan (with pre-order souvenirs as well!!! ahhh):

BOTH VERSIONS! so pretty right?
To be honest, I am such a cheapo that I wont even buy both myself!

Anyway, moving on, last night to relax (as a result super going crazy over the amount of overdue work today), I watched the overly hyped up Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close on some online streaming website. Initially I was supposed to watch the Vow as recommended by Gee, but the streaming thing was so crap and pixelated that I gave up.

Anyway, I did mention that it was overly hyped up. Ok, and I just checked the rotten tomato and confirmed my own critique on this movie being not that awesome at all. I mean it seems to be trying a bit hard to be overly clever, but like not impactful enough? I dont know, maybe I just wished that there's more of Tom Hanks. Sandra Bullock really saved the day though, I mean she made me feel like if I were a mother, I might have teared more during the movie.

Oh, I also watched 那些年,我們一起追的女孩 (You are the apple of my eye, dont ask me why the English title is just a bit CMI)

Yup, this is certainly not too hyped up, it really makes me want to read the book too! Although this movie is so inclined towards taiwanese culture that I dont think Will can take this story very well. Lol, at the end of the day, I finally watched the movie so I am very happy!

I cannot believe that I can be so temperamental, though it's a good thing that now it seems like I blog more often when I am sad than when I am unhappy. Ok, I shall not delve into the stupid Boots people again, this incident should totally be disregarded from now on.

Have a good Sunday!
