Apple should really treat devs better...
So, I'm sure everyone already knows of the existence of the GM build of Leopard floating around on the interwebs (bittorrent, usenet, ftp etc.) which has been floating around for a couple days now.

So, Apple. You don't give Leopard GM to devs and you effectively tell them to fuck off and wait until after the public release. Not just to any dev, but those paying devs who paid for access to them. But you happily give Pogue-the-fuckhead of the NY Times the GM build so he can write a dumb review about it using facts one can glean from the Leopard site without having to install and use Leopard. But not to one of the Panic guys! Come ON. Panic are like the kings of indie Mac development!
While it might make sense to tell everyone to fuck off until release (or, you know, to give it to everyone), why the fuck are you giving journalists the GM build at the same time you're telling devs to fuck off? Is this yet another retarded move on the part of Apple Inc.?
Sure seems like it. I mean, a few days seems like a trivial matter, but hey! These people make a living doing this. They want to be Leopard compatible the day it comes out so their customers don't have any issues when and if they upgrade. Too much to ask to stop worrying about public image and to start giving a shit about devs sometime soon? As awesome as Mac OS X and the hardware and iPods and iPhones might be, you are NOTHING without all the other applications people use on their computers. It really can't hurt to make devs happy. Maybe new dev tools in Leopard might, but you know, releasing an iPhone SDK right about now and giving them Leopard GM to test app compatibility is not such a bad idea.
