WTF Apple?

Apple shares might be at $167.89 right now (!), but why is it that I can't find a single store within a reasonable driving distance that has an open genius bar spot TODAY? Or hell, tomorrow? In Los Angeles, too. I just looked at open times for the Grove, Beverly Center, Century City, Pasadena, Glendale, Sherman Oaks, Manhattan Beach, Santa ( Read more... )

That's what you get for being in Cali-- where it's ~cool~ to have a mac. Move to Texas!

I know. it sucks. I miss the days when LA had one of the only stores in the nation and you could just wait a little bit to talk to a genius without an appointment. :(

yeah..I don't want to pay extra for that. i'm not sure if mine would be a fast question or not. but the only thing that would come in handy would be scheduling two weeks in advance, and it's really not worth that much.

the idea that i have to pay extra for decent support to fix a defective problem covered by the warranty is sort of irritating.

lol, we don't have genius bars here :(

I'm the closest thing to a genius bar at our Mac shop (and, if you want to book a time with me, it'll have to be Saturday morning and ONLY saturday morning :P)

Yeah, but I can't do anything if it's a non-fixable (from my end) hardware issue. It's basically that I have a weird battery that goes from 20 to 0 percent in like 2 minutes (after going from 100 to 20 in a couple hours) that won't do anything after calibration, and this is reproducible on multiple MacBooks. Basically, I want them to reproduce and get me a fix, ideally a battery replacement. :)
