WWDC. the bay area.

In the past three days, I have met more people that I know from IRC/Facebook/online-only than I ever have before. And they are all freaking awesome. There's still more people I want to meet at least once, but this depends on if we meet randomly or do something, which, I don't know will happen if at all. That being said, one person I know from facebook I met the moment I stepped foot inside the student lounge at WWDC and just glanced at his direction. I've never really talked to him before, I hardly know him, I've never met him before in person, and just looking at him I knew who he was in an instant. Freaky and cool.

The keynote...was a bit disappointing. I was hoping for a bit more than just trivial Leopard features, the lame iPhone dev news (wtf is so wrong with an iPhone SDK, apple?!) and Safari for Windows (yay security holes already!). I was also hoping we could get our hands on an iPhone early/for cheap/for free or something nuts like that, but nah.

I'm quite pissed that I don't have a machine to install the Leopard dev preview on right now...I'd willingly do it on my MacBook but I have a ton of software I don't have installers for, and I'm not really up for installing it on an external drive like I was thinking about doing back home.

Otherwise...it just turned 2am and it's about time I go to sleep so I can wake up in time to catch tomorrow morning's sessions.
