Tempus fugit; or, how two weeks ago I was all like "time needs to fly, RIGHT NOW"

Jun 06, 2007 01:50

It's 3.25 days until I have to get my butt over to LAX to catch my flight.

I don't know if it's the lack of things in my life right now, or because I get to see all sorts of people I haven't seen in forever (*cough*) or like, ever, but I can't wait. I need a change of scenery for a little bit. Plus I finally found a car rental place near SF that rents to people under 21, but that's only provided that I meet certain requirements, which I'll have to check out later. My suitcase is half-packed, all it needs are the clothes. Or rather, my suitcase has 6 pairs of shoes in it, and some miscellaneous things I will need, and nothing more. But eh, I have some finals left..

On the flip side, I'm contemplating a trip to Boston next month to visit relatives, but it sounds insanely boring, and I could use that money for something else. Like a Nikon D40x sometime in the next 3.25 days (hi mom, can we ever go shopping for gadgets instead of stupid clothes..? i think i've had enough of anthropologie and forever 21...).

That new movie theater and building at the westside pavilion is already open, opened a few days ago actually. We went to go see a movie, except there was nothing particularly interesting playing (except Day Watch, but I had that on DVD at home) so we just left - not before noticing the Yogurberry at the concession stand (lol @ red mango). Sadly enough there were already people picketing outside over unfairly low wages on the very first day.
