a couple new tv shows
so I downloaded a lot of stuff recently (free leech on a particular site), and among the downloads were two new TV shows that I enjoyed very, very much.
One was Drive (http://www.fox.com/drive/), previously mentioned on my LJ, a show featuring Nathan Fillion of Firefly and Serenity fame. It's basically a show about a whole bunch of random people who are selected to compete in an illegal underground cross-country road race for a prize. A very big prize. And the people are very random. It's everyone from a new mother and a dying father with his teenager daughter to a bunch of valley girls and newly discovered and befriended half-brothers that share an important politician of a father. And it's pretty interesting. I think the 2 hour premiere was tonight, but you can easily torrent it (I think both episodes showed up a few days ago, at the least).

The other TV show was Painkiller Jane, adapted from the comic book series of the same name, ..well...all about a chick who can heal herself. Think the cheerleader from Heroes, except older, hotter and better at fighting. And she's tracking down people with genetic mutations that have unexplainable and uncontrollable powers that must be tracked down and dealt with (this REALLY sounds like heroes almost..now...).
