i made full use of my bit of free time in japan!
attempted fortune-telling at a temple, but i drew the worst possible luck Dx
the sakura were gorgeous at ueno park, when the wind blew, the petals were like confetti, it was amazing!
plus there were several stalls selling food, ate my fill of oden, yakitori and grilled ika ((:
wandered around the little streets for abit, bought a whole ton of snacks
(and then some more at the airport on my way home)
japanese food is one of my favourite cuisines!
my heart broke a little when speaking to my colleague
the only japanese idol she knows is yamashita, and when i mentioned the group he used to belong to, she went 'but they're not that good looking or cool', and i agree. yamashita is, by all standards, pretty amazing in the looks department, and that is what celebrities are mostly judged on and loved for. but i love our boys for so much more than that!
i love japan. must go again and again, will do my best to make time for short trips to that awesome place!
