I agree with Pinkxrouge..Something suspicious is going on here. Tachibana-sensei is not a person who has a habit doing a light story plot. Everything must be behind the reason. Luna is not a light character who just wants to make Mikan jealous. I think she is the one who will change Mikan’s life. ’
Why Mikan is being targeted? She is not the one who made the ruckus at the princess party. (it’s Natsume). If it because of her parents’s fault and the academy want to do revenge on her, she is not the one to be blame either. She is even too weak to use her Alice. So, why her?
I think the reason is because of her Alice(s). She indeed possessed two powerful Alice, the Nullification and Alice Stealing. Especially the Nullification. If I remember correctly, in chapter 40, (JE newest scanslation):
In Yuka memory:
Yuka: Sensei, your Alice is great. It’s Nullification.
Sensei: Feeling down on your Alice again?
Yuka: Everybody treat me like a thief, I’m not even steal anything.
So, I think Nullification is one of the greatest Alice, it just Mikan still does not know how to use it properly, yet. Nobody is there to teach her. So, that’s why Luna came into the picture. The academy wants to use Mikan, just like they did to Natsume. But first they need to shake off all her protectors from her first. (Mikan has many protectors, due to her sweet and naïve personality). THE PRINCIPALS WANT TO GAIN CONTROL ON HER.
So…. from there.. I don’t know… maybe they manage to gain control on her and take her away and for about 5 years come back as a teenager.. Or.. Natsume is able to save her from Luna grasp… or… her mother is able to kidnap her from academy…well, it still a long way too to go…^_^
Or..it really just a light story plot just to make Mikan jealous of Luna.. Well, who knows what is on Tachibana-sensei’s mind?
But I hope, this manga will reach more than hundred chapters.. I really love this manga.. and so many things in not reveal yet…
