Continuing from the previous chapter, despite many things had happened, everyone's star ranking remained as before.

Kokoroyomi (his star ranking was not revealed in there but in other chapters) - 1 Star

Knowing that Ruka said he would not mind being a no-star, Hotaru and Kokoroyomi were teasing him by holding sign boards that say, "Just like Sakura, I am a No-star too" (poor Ru-chan~)
Since whatever that had happened in the Princess Party, Mikan learnt from Tsubasa that Hotaru was very worried herself that she asked her brother to save her. Not only that, during Mikan's stay in the hospital, Hotaru had been visiting her regularly.
Additionally, not long after Mikan was discharged from the hospital, Subaru called her. He said,
"I called for you was none other than hoping you could pass this message to my sister, "Give me that immediately," '
"That" referring Subaru's own personal data books that Hotaru herself had collected. (Looks like she threatened her old brother to save her best friend xD)
In Mikan's heart, she was thinking why couldn't he ask from Hotaru himself...
Subara then continued saying that Mikan is indeed someone Hotaru holds dearly.
Subaru remembered how Hotaru asked for his help.
"Please lend us your help for this day. Please.." Hotaru said.
Subara did not expect that his sister would go to him for help. Either that or he felt that he had not known his sister well. Ending off the conversation, he told Mikan to take care of Hotaru.
After knowing those facts while she was hospitalised, Mikan became 'stickier' towards Hotaru ever since. Whatever Hotaru was doing, Hotaru would cling herself onto her.
Seeing Mikan was all clinging herself over Hotaru, Sumire wondered why Hotaru was able to tolerate for so long. If it's the usual, Hotaru would have already hit Mikan with her Metal Punch (over here, Kokoroyomi interupted saying that it was "Idiot Canon" stupid~~).
Looking at the 2 of them, Iinchou thought that it was because Hotaru had realised that it's better off this way. Comparing to before, when Mikan was not able to move at all, it is far better off this way.
And, Hotaru finally punched Mikan because she could tolerate no longer further xD
The scene pulls off to Natsume and Ruka.
Natsume was lying on top of a tree looking at the present he had yet to pass to Mikan on her birthday. When Ruka shouted out to him, he hid the present into his pocket and replied,
"Yo, 'failed to be a No-star,' "
Ruka was irritated, instead of showing it with a facial expression, he said it out verbally as he climbed up the tree.
As the both of the them were on the tree, Ruka said,
"This tree brings back memories. I never expected that we were able to laugh like today at that time. It was Sakura that had made that smile on Natsume's face right now. That is why you wanted to stay in this academy to protect her,"
To that sentence, Natsume simply replied,
"Aa.. I want to protect her from whatever that is going to come in future, "
Ruka then continued,
" I will protect Sakura too. Not losing to Natsume, I like Sakura. (Kyaaa~ He confessed!!) And, i wish to keep on protecting this smile on Natsume's face,"
Looking back at the days, Ruka recalled that it was the same day that they met Mikan for the first time in the academy...
It was about half a year ago, Natsume was picked on by a senior because he stared at him. Apparently, many students were jealous of Natsume because of his abilities. He was seen as a murderer and yet he was appointed the only executive in the Elementary department. The other students had only been an Executive Reserve all this while instead.
Natsume told Ruka not to bother with those people there but on his mind he was thinking of burning them to meat balls if he sees them again at other place. (hahaha xD)
Ruka felt that they had to be strong and move on. Natsume's eyes were becoming more and more fierce and dark as the days gone by. However so, all he could do was to see that happen.
One day, Natsume, Ruka and Mochiagekun (the bald-headed boy who follows Natsume) overheard a conversation between their saying about Natsume's father. They were humiliating Natsume saying that he used to have a father but he burnt all of them.
That senior claimed that he heard that news from his Grandpa, who is working for the school checking mails coming into the school and amongst the mails, there were some from Natsume's dad.
The senior began saying that he thought of selling off those letters secretly and that because there were so many mails from Natsume's Dad, even if 1 is gone, no one would notice.
Natsume was rather angry when he heard that until the senior said that he would not mind selling the letters to him as long as he acts according to what that senior wants.
Those seniors wanted Natsume to escape from the academy and that if he could return safely, he would give letters from his Dad to him.
Of course, Natsume knew that it was a trick even after Ruka and Michiagekun tried pursuading him not to fall for it, he Natsume was insisting on doing it.
After which, the same senior group slid Narumi a message saying that Natsume is escaping.
Back to where both Ruka and Natsume were. Ruka said to Natsume suddenly,
"Natsume, let's run away,"
Natsume replied, "eh?"
"It's written all over your face," continued Ruka.
He knew that Natsume would reply he could not do it because both Aoi and Ruka were still in the academy. But that was not what Ruka saw. Ruka saw that Natsume was desperate to run away from the darkness that never seems to end, even if it's just one day. Even if there's punishment, because there are 2 people in there, it should be fine. In that case, Ruka saw that Natsume wished to be freed from all the dark clouds and looked for the light.
Ruka felt that Mikan was the light for the 2 of them. The day that both of them met her...
Speaking of Mikan, both of them saw her at the bottom of the tree looking for Hotaru.
Just then Narumi called out to Mikan from the back asking what was she doing there. Mikan illustrated Hotaru had ditched her there thus she had become a lost child.
Both Ruka and Natsume sitting on the tree looking down, could not get what Mikan was trying to say yet Narumi knew what she wanted to express.
Narumi commented that it has been the Princess Party since the 2 of them talked like this. Mikan was told not to mention anything about the Princess Party to anyone thus she kept quiet.
Both of them were holding hands as they walked and chatted, Natsume was not happy when he saw that. He was calling Narumi a bastard in his head while Ruka thought it has been half a year since Mikan came.
Narumi told Mikan that Natsume could be saved was perhaps because of her that was why he appointed Natsume to be her partner on the first day of school when Mikan came. Mikan, however, did not hear that because of the wind.
Narumi felt that he had 1 burdern less to carry on his shoulder and it was all thanks to Mikan.
After which, Narumi carried Mikan in his hands and was about to bring Mikan back. He told Mikan that it was alright even she did not tell him anything because he knew it completely.
He knew that Mikan was the light and that she had brightened the hearts of people who have been captured before, and that included himself...
Over here, Natsume could not bear it any longer, he jumped down from the tree and kicked Narumi on his back so that Mikan fell out of Narumi's arms and Narumi was sent to the floor. Narumi was surprised at his presense, but Natsume only said,
"Don't hug as you like! (Natsume's jealous!!) What shoulder burden?! Don't say it like you're very close me!"
And he left. Leaving Mikan on the floor cursing and swearing at him for making her fall xD
But she caught up with him together with Ruka and continued bickerig with Natsume.
In the meantime, Tono had asked his friend, Hayami, to investigate the stone that was left on Mikan's hand. It turned out to be Persona's stone. It was decided that Mikan had another underlying ALICE in her body. That was the Stealing ALICE (all stolen ALICEs will be in a form of stones, in other words, she had stolen Persona's ALICE out of her body).
Tono had gone to Narumi asking him things regarding the photo found in the Special classroom and information about Mikan. He wanted to know how much does Narumi knows and how much people in the Higher positions had known about Mikan.
After learning that, Tono understood that things will not be easy for Mikan in future.
At the same time, Nobara was looking outside of the window at Mikan, Natsume and Ruka. She was thinking about Mikan until Persona called her. He asked,
"What are you looking at?"
"Persona," she said.
"Don't go anywhere, only you..." added Persona.
Nobara was by Persona's side. She felt that Persona is lonely and pitiful as Persona stroke her hair.
She replied,
"I will be by your side, always..."
And she thought in her heart, only this person whose hand i can never touch, Mikan...
