I have a Virtual Assistant now!

So after consulting with my friend Chris about my future business goals, how I didn't have the time to dedicate to what I REALLY wanted to be doing, etc. - he helped me figure out that I should finally hire a Virtual Assistant.

So now I'm paying my friend and client, Sheryl for 10 hours per month to do all sorts of administrative tasks and to help me stay organized. Today we had our first phone meeting where we talked about "most frustrating tasks" I'm doing right now, and how I can better manage my time.

It's cool because now there's a little bit of accountability with the tasks and work I'm doing. Sheryl talked to me about using my desktop calendar (iCal) to REALLY schedule my days, and DEDICATE time for things. We also talked about little tasks that she's going to do, plus how she's going to help me with the on-boarding process for all new clients, getting my new agreements organized, formatted, proofread, and then sent out to ALL of my existing clients so that they all are agreeing to the terms with my new LLC and not just with me as a sole proprietor. (I changed my business structure last year and I'm just now getting around to this portion).

So now, with her assistance, I'm getting organized, and all sorts of non-billable timesucking things are going to be delegated to her. She'll send out my monthly newsletter that I have been neglecting, send welcome greeting cards and holiday cards to my clients, schedule my phone calls for me, do research, keep my client databases and spreadsheets up to date, order business cards, sign folks up for hosting accounts, etc.

I LOVE IT!!

I still have to make my own coffee (*cries*).
Hmm.. maybe she can order my coffee for me and have it sent to me weekly!! :)

I LOVE DELEGATING!

just journaling
