I love my job. You know why? Because I can spend my time and energy doing something that will actually keep my company going instead of taking un-necessary time off. I can get the company assistants to move my boxes and suitcases (with a considerable bonus, of course, I'm not that much of a tightwad) safe in the knowledge that they wouldn't dare mess up deliberately, and by the time I finish tonight - earlier than about 95% of the other employees - I'll get home and everything will be as I like it. See, I may sound like somewhat of a tyrant, but I don't ask for unreasonable things and pay my staff bloody well, thankyou. Besides, they love it. I think I would too, if the main part of my job description was unpacking some of the unpleasant smelling things we sell in our branches...
Anyway, it's not as though this has been a particularly taxing week. Summer is often fairly quiet, at least until Hogwarts starts again and Diagon Alley as a whole is busy with people getting school supplies. Business has been going well of late, so I'm thinking of treating myself to redecorating the office - I've been too busy to do it since the last occupant retired. That'll be something nice to do.
Come to think of it, I had something else I was going to say - does anyone know of a youngish witch or wizard looking for a job? My PA, Mallory, is going on maternity leave soon and I'd rather like to sort out her replacement soon. Send me an owl if you're interested. I don't keep a particularly formal office and as long as work gets done when it's supposed to, I don't mind it if my personal office staff have long lunches or want to go on a coffee run in the middle of the day (but I will like you more if you bring me one too).
That's all I think. Ta ta.
