Have I shared the story of our lack of wedding photos? I think I have, at least on Facebook. I think I've determined that GTUs don't get their wedding photos. Our online photo event expired at midnight last night.
Somehow we managed to convince our photographer to give us 3 discs with digital negatives, probably in RAW format, a few months ago. He also extended our event at that time, presumably so that he could place the order that I had requested back in November. Last weekend we contacted the photo hosting site to ask if they would extend our event free of charge due to a dispute with our photographer. They replied that they were able to contact him, and that he requested we call him--but that he would not share any other information. When I tried to get them to confirm whether he had actually placed an order, they explained it was out of their hands, and to contact him.
Thus B has called him nearly every day in the last week. With, of course, absolutely no response. Yesterday we went by his house. He didn't answer the door when B knocked. Multiple friends have suggested we contact a lawyer. Also, I received a letter from the Better Business Bureau, in response to the complaint I filed in July:
"Dear M, The Better Business Bureau did not receive a response to your complaint. We regret to advise you that our efforts to assist in reaching any form of voluntary settlement have been unsuccessful. We are closing this complaint as 'NO RESPONSE.' Your complaint, with proper notations, will remain as part of this file.
"If you have been contacted by the company or the complaint has been adjusted, please notify us immediately.
"Thank you for using your Better Business Bureau."
Dear guy: all we want is our prints. Then we will get the hell out of your hair and never contact you again, we promise.
