It's five days since The Episode That Dares Not Speak Its Name - and the show has fallen under the axe. No Meg to run in to take the blow - because 1. they killed her already, and 2. there's no man in black on his new white horse

You are so right... Besides The Pretty being taken from us, that is my other biggest complaint about the last few eps of S3. Rather than focusing on the characters they had and giving them a proper send-off, they were hell-bent on setting up new characters for a S4 and explaining away the disappearances of actors not returning. If they'd planned to end at S3, I also bet we wouldn't have had a death-fest finale in the first place... Unfortunately, we probably would have still be stuck with Kate though...
As much as I will miss Guy, I can't blame RA for wanting to move on to other projects, given what TPTB have done with his character. Yes, at least Guy got redeemed, but they didn't have to kill him as soon as he did...
Frankly, putting up with Kate and Tuck in a S4 held about as much appeal as poking knitting needles in my ears.... As for Archer, while he didn't annoy me...yet, he didn't really thrill me either. But, as you said, it may have been interesting to see how S4 would fair and, in point of fact, whether Kate and Tuck would have actually returned in S4 given all the negative fan comments about those characters in S3.
May I say first of all, lovin' the sexy tattooed man in your icon, Talin. I'm almost thinking we should have given VPG a tattoo - but can you tat the undead? Hmmmmm . . .
Absolutely agree: the problem with the short season lengths (most American shows have 22 eps in a season) is, if you don't get things off to a really good, solid start quickly (mangy lions and Lucky Charms boys ain't the solution), trying to cram it all into three or four eps makes for one rushed, confusing show.
It doesn't allow for character development or back story . . . it doesn't satisfy the true fans and it certainly isn't going to engage much of anybody new to the show. The show didn't really seem to take off this season until the lovely Ep 9 with Guy and Meg.
If you have any plans whatsoever to bring a show back, you better start planning well ahead by making the current season good and enjoyable. Which they obviously didn't care about 95 percent of the time. Otherwise, who is going to want to watch it?

Angel has one, so I don't see why not, and he is a pirate, so it's probably mandatory.
Thirteen's a long series for us - we usually only get six, and many shows I love manage perfectly well with that. This lot would have thought of twenty-two as merely an excuse for more rot.
For me, everything kicked off at ep six, which, not just on account of what may well be my favourite scene in any programme ever, but because everyone but RA within a hundred-mile radius of TS had to up their game or be blown offset and there was the Fight Scene of Awesome. Do You Love Me? and A Dangerous Deal were just something else entirely.
Well, I would suspect vampire regeneration powers would 'erase' any new tattoos added after turning... But, maybe some henna or other 'temporary' tattoos that could be painted on the skin's surface... Which would also allow for...variety...
Yes, tattoos to fit certain moods or situations.... No reason why Lucas should get to have all the tattoos... Although, I must say, I never really cared much for tattoos until the inspirational glory of "gnothi seauton"... But, now...the right tattoo, in the right place, on the right body...*guh*
