Sigh.... just found out that the majority of my favourite patients are being discharged to other sites. This saddens me so. My favourite patient being one of them. This guy is Deaf and in a wheelchair, but can read lips and gesture like you wouldn't believe. I remember he would sit by the side of the road and watch allt he cars drive by and being SO excited to see each and every one. To the general public, most people wouldn't even dream of starting a friendship with him, but once you get past his disabilities you'll see just how great he is. I mean... this guy rigged up a slingshot from an old deoderant bottle, some tape and and rubber tubing. It was hilarious to see him go after some of the nurses with that thing, LoL. He, and many others, will be missed very much.
