"Compliance causes a shocking realization:
To be ourselves causes us to be exiled by many others,
and yet, to comply with what others want causes us to be exiled from ourselves"
~Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

The real issue surfaces.  I spent the last several weeks worth of sessions dealing with an anger gone quiet into tears at injustice within the hearts ( Read more... )

I simply have to find myself again. An old cliche, but a true one. Myself, when lived to the beat of drum circle and how I felt in tune with the earth and all her peoples. I'm tired of being cut off from that feeling, I'm withering as I need it.

I hope you find - in the right time in the cycle - that stunning stillness, like a quiet night under countless stars, with the earth hushed and sweet-smelling beneath you... and that, just... being.

How easily we lose contact with ourselves, wuth that rhythm that beats through the deep stillness, and let things and people crowd us out.

And that process of systems and structures which, so easily, can create tension and control, that somehow are unable to acknowledge wildness - the wildness and beauty of Godde.

How easily we lose connection... with ourselves... with the land and the wilds and nature... the seasons, the tides... and connection with people.

I hope you can find deep enough stillness and quiet within you, to recognise that special place where you are known and understood by Godde (and loved and treasured)...

So you can reclaim 'aliveness' and more of the whole of who you are.

I don't think that means repudiating love, or ways of love. Not at all.

But you seem to need space to be 'you' and you just seem crowded out.

It seems like you need (and long for) community... but you need to be YOU in relationships and community.

That queer, unique YOU... and let people make what they will of that... but a YOU that's reclaimed and brave enough to love raw and wild. And tenderly.

(Obviously I haven't even met you, so I'm just thinking aloud to you, and take or leave bits and pieces, but I do hope you find that obvious happiness in relationship with people and with nature that you've known before.)
