Pats/Colts Blowout
Yeah, the Patriots won. I like to call that 4th quarter "D'oh!" Manning had it until 10 minutes left. My assessment was the Colts didn't lose because of the Patriots, they lost because of themselves. They clearly out played and out ran the Pats, and would have won if they didn't make the mistakes.
The worst part isn't that they lost, because they played a very good 50 minutes, just that last 10 slammed them. The worst part was we had to drive my FIL to his truck after the game and, as a Bears fan, he can't stand when the Colts do well ever. He, yet again, treated my comments like the repetition of others' thoughts. Jason pretty much made him feel 2" tall because of it, though. That kind of made it worth it. And then, I got to email him all the sports journalists' thoughts on the game. (Guess what? They all agree with me.) I will not alter my thoughts on it. The Patriots really showed they are not invincible. They can be shaken, and should be.
They've really become my NFL version of the Yankees. Heh.
