So, what sort of food would you serve at an End of the World Party?

also angel's food and devil's food cakes.

and lamb.

and if there's anything edible with seven heads and ten horns, that couldn't hurt.

i also recommend bringing exactly seven sealed bottles of alcohol, and opening them one at a time. just make sure that the first one opened is something white, and the second is something red, and so on.

ooh, and locusts! you can probably find edible locusts (or something in the grasshopper/locust family, anyway) someplace.

Kahlúa. Midori.

one could also get a long way with the various Johnnie Walker color-coded labels, if the liquid doesn't actually have to come out of the bottle that color, but just has to be symbolically associated with the color.

i don't even know why i know this. i don't think i've ever consumed Johnnie Walker (any label) or Midori.

the color ones are fairly easy. after that it gets harder. i don't know what drink comes out of the bottle as a vision of martyrs.

η: i feel like there ought to be a way to work Frangelico in for one of the last three, but i'm not sure which.

re paragraph 1: i think it doesn't have to be that intricate of a parallel. it's not like the first four bottles have to contain horse. i figure anything with a 7 somewhere in the name will probably get the point across.

...and you are aware that almost all liquors are made primarily from some combination of water and plant derivatives, right?

i think this line of thinking quickly pushes us toward a stuck-in-the-bomb-shelter theme, with nothing but canned goods.

absinthe is hard to argue with here.

or you could just make a copy of the passage out of something stomach-irritatingly-acidic, and then give everybody a good dose of miraclefruit before they partake.
