self esteem.... bull shit.

In the world today, many people relate their problems to not having enough self-esteem, and lack of motivation to do things. Yet, we are living in a society where we go to a drive thru, pay a buck fifty for a nasty burger made out of cow testicles and eyeballs and become obese, then after the ritual eating of fatty fast foods, the rest of the day is engulfing in self indulgent practices of hobbies and own selfish thoughts. All of a sudden, when something bad happens to a human being. Their so called “Moral Code” is threatened and their “Self-Esteem” is ruined, causing people to sue, become upset, and think to them selves, I am a Failure.

As anyone with REAL common sense can realize, this is balder dash. Self-Esteem and Motivation doesn’t exist. These are just words we use to fill up the voids or embarrassing parts of our lives. They are excuses. Yet people believe there is a magical force inside their brains that causes them to become depressed. No way, this is impossible; it is only up to the person to what he makes out of an action. Then following that Reaction, it is up to the repercussions of what he or she can do. As in a bumper sticker I have once seen before it states, “Shit Happens.” This is true, and yet there is nothing we can do about it except for A.) Prevent it form ever happening, Or B.) Deal with the repercussions as gentle or smoothly as possible. Self Esteem and Motivation just intrude on those answers. So what if you are Pessimistic, So what if you’re Optimistic, these are just Stereotypes of the Brain and Body put upon society. As long as they are living life as full as they want to, and it doesn’t matter if they are successful or not, I mean just living is a good fortune; they don’t need self-motivation or self Esteem. All they need is the essentials; Food, Water, Money, and a place to live. Everything else in the middle is just toppings for the main dish.
Yes, with a part in mind. Humans do have emotions and feelings. But so do animals. If we take a comparison to our life compared to a bear or a moose perhaps. We wouldn’t really see any differences because well, they are different species of mammals that we cannot relate to. Yet that we really do not know what they feel, even if they think, the languages they might speak to one another, or even the same emotions as we do. I mean as humans, we have a basic knowledge saying when I am sad when I am angry and when I am happy. In which we learned in kindergarten and the 1st grade. Back to the animal thing, I am pretty sure they don’t have self Esteem or Motivation, hence the reason why they are never stressed out or get yelled out for being sarcastic.
When we were children, we were brought up and raised for the world and contributing to its society. At school we learned rudimentary skills for the outside world (some did not though) and through the ages we are taught so called Manners and a Politeness that is really only common Sense. Then the most important “Value” taught in schools subliminally is Self-Motivation, Esteem, Etc. This to is stereotyping and hypocritical. It is only up to the teacher. If the teacher is an imprudent Spiteful woman of society, the students behavior is going to change and realize he or she is always wrong. This is when those two things come to save the day. Yet, it is really up to the pupil, not the people enforcing them on him or her.
Some other self-motivating classes we take are speech and debate. In the class you stand up in front of [seemingly dumb] pupils. You talk and talk about who cares what, from the Death of John F. Kennedy Jr. to the shoe size of Mickey Mouse. Sometimes the class is fun, yet that the real reason why they have it is to take the shy people out of the closet and introduce them into a world in which they HAVE to speak out. This is immoral and they are being subjected into a world of self-pity.
Coming to a conclusion, We have looked at the stereotypes, the idiosyncrasies used in motivation. And last but not least, just how plain moronic it is to listen to people saying that it exists when you are just feeling a bit sad. It is an emotion, it is a feeling. Someone just brought up a good point. They said the reason why we have these words is at least to explain the items we use in fixing our personalities and social behaviors to not look like a total idiot. I believe in this yet that I don’t think it is self-esteem and motivation. I think it is empathy and for being subjected to human emotions and discussing these items with society as a whole.
Maybe if the world’s thoughts (especially America’s) were not so selfish, we could understand a bit more about ourselves and realize that we are effected as a whole, Not individual. We should cut back being alone, pick up the phone and just start talking to anyone. Old friend, old enemy, your neighbor, your kids even. It does not really matter who you talk to just as long as you don’t forget that you are a living piece of flesh, magically held together with blood and bones, forged into a spiritual world. I might even be wrong and that these two types of definitions do exist in the world, and that I will maybe learn a little more about life.
