A fresh sunday morning

Got together with the UbiNetics gang and attended Sundar's wedding reception in Chennai. I left my car parked yesterday morning at the Bangalore Central railway station parking lot. We took the day train to Chennai and got there by 2:45 Pm. I tried reaching Sharat, but the phone rang unanswered. After a 'visit' to the Besant nagar beach (I would have preferred the Thiruvanmaiyur beach, but anyway) and Spencer plaza on the never ending Anna Salai, we went to Sundar's wedding reception. Wished him all the best, posed with the newly wed couple and took pictures, took the gift that he gave us (yes, you read that right), had food and then started way back.

Shanti wanted to visit a pub in Chennai and very soon we realised why a lot of people from Chennai are 'pub crazy' when they visit Bangalore. Shanti's friend Swaminathan took us to the pub at Grand Residency Towers. I was wearing my sandals and the policy there was only to allow people who wear shoes (Crazy! I have no idea why they do this at a lot of places). I, being a 'guest from Bangalore' was allowed into the 'main part' of the pub accompanied by Swami's friend after she talked to the pub folks, and I used an 8 number shoe-pair that the staff provided temporarily. Yikes, (all) shoes suck. I am not sure if jbhargav (Excuse the moron :-p, for not updating his journal) went there anytime, but he is now in Mumbai. Anyway, I happened to like the place a lot, but we had to leave early to catch the 11:10 Pm train back to Bangalore.

Slept peacefully in the train and we were back in Bangalore by 6:15 Am. My car (and all the parts in it) were safe, phew!. I was charged 40 Rs/- for the 'overnight parking'. Dropped Sreevani, Prakash and Shanti at their respective places, got the car refuelled and I am home now. Seemingly, the auto-stop facility for a 'full tank' refuelling doesn't work for the very first vehicle - which happened to be mine today, so not only was the tank a little more full than it should be, but a little fuel was also wasted.

Mornings are good. Nothing is better than a fresh weekend morning. It is cool here now and the yellow sunlight into the house feels very nice. It is gonna be a busy Sunday.
