I've been inspired to research the primrose, after a pink primrose played an important part in a recent dream. In this dream, I placed a dried, pressed, pink primrose next to my breast for safekeeping. Interestingly, I did not identify the flower as the pink evening primrose until the next day. As it turns out, the pink primrose is associated with healing of the heart, an issue which just so happens to be connected to the main character of the dream. This can also explain why I placed the flower near my heart.
But anyway, thought I'd share some of what I found on the primrose here.
The following was derived from
http://medicinegarden.com/ :
"THE "MR. CLEAN" OF THE FLOWER ESSENCE WORLD: WHITE, YELLOW AND PINK PRIMROSES AS FLOWER ESSENCES THAT COMBAT NEGATIVITY AND TOXICITY ON ALL LEVELS OF OURSELVES...."
"The primrose family is so very valuable for cleansing purposes on all points of ourselves--physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Primroses get rid of poisons/toxicity. For instance, people with "toxic thoughts"--they are down on themselves, low self-esteem, they can't do this or that, or they feel like losers, etc., then Yellow Evening Primrose is a wonderful asset to them."
White Evening Primrose:
"A general cleanser for the person and their aura."
"The white primrose is about cleansing of the physical body because white is all colors and therefore, affects all our chakras and in turn, affects our physical body directly."
Yellow Evening Primrose:
"Will help get rid of negativity, low self-esteem thoughts, guilt and other 'toxic' emotions that stop us from being all that we can be."
Pink Evening Primrose:
"clears away blocks to the heart, or heart-related issues such as divorce, losing a loved one (human or animal)."
"This essence helps with our broken heart or the toxic emotions of heart-related incidents in our life that we carry with us like baggage."
Combined:
"With the three colors of Primrose (white, pink and yellow), one gets cleaned from the inside out."
