"...he must watch out for the dark prince."

That is the best line ever! I love the way you've wound Dumbledore's eventual fate and Snape's current presence into the mix so smoothly and painted up Sybill's background so clearly - she's quite right though, a young lady should not be wearing more than one shawl at a time, especially if it's not mid-winter!

I like her reflections on people's reactions to her fortune-telling and I like the contrast of her mundanity (if that's a word) to the sparkling reality of what has just happened. Brilliant!

I quite enjoy writing this sort of thing - all sort of mixed up, and in danger of not making sense! It was a fantastic prompt. I've been thinking about writing some background to Sybill for 7spells, although now I've signed up for the summer thing (and 15,000 words of F/A!!!!) I might leave that for a bit.

Having recently listened to HBP, I can't see Sybill as just an old fraud. Wandering the corridors of Hogwarts she is spookily close to what's going to happen. I reckon there's still more to come from her.

It was ages since I'd written her. Thank you for the inspiration!

Ooh, that's great. I love the fact that you incorporated the prediction to Dumbledore's fate with regards to the "prince" as chocolate_limes mentioned :) That line really caught me off guard as it really reflects what will happen in book six.

Lovely work!

Sybill was the first character I ever played in an RPG and despite the game's needs sending her rather over-the-top sensible for her (and so quite OOC), I've still got a bit of a soft spot for her.

It was great writing her, and mashing together my thoughts on her with what we actually know in canon. I'm really looking forward to the next book. I'm quite sure we're going to find out more about her than we do so far, and (I hope) that it's not that she's the loopy tipsy thing we found in HBP!

Thank you again. I'm really pleased you enjoyed it.
