Luckily there was a fraternity conference yesterday for me to shake off the sucking depresion created by the Tigers World Series performance. How could everyone forget how to bat except for Sean Casey. As for the errors...I just don't want to talk about this anymore.
My fraternity had a bi-sectional conference yesterday. These are ususally a good boost for wanting to be a good person. All of these people get together and try to figure out how to do service better, or run their chapeter more efficiently. I had a little more prestige going in. I am no longer an alumnus but now an advisor for a petitioning group. The section, regino and national staff genuinly seemed happy to meet me when I told them what I was doing. Best thing I ever stepped into, again. And to think I got into this by chasing a girl.
After trucking down to Detroit yesterday I headed off to Lansing today. There was a medical school admissions advice conference there today. I won't get into it much, but it was informative and helpful.
All in all I am in a bit of a lull right now. Last Thursday I was run over by an organic chem. exam. To make it worse I saw it coming. The studying just wouldn't stick. Going Mea Culpa to the prof won't help either. He's young, headstrong, believes he's right about everything he does; but not too sure what he's doing while generally being a bit of an idiot. He reminds me of most of the parts of me that piss me off.
Through the e-mail updates I found out that Thane is back in China. He and Emma returned. They've made the initial "I'm back" rounds including a stop at Mama and Baba's. Texas Tom is planning on heading back as well. Although in the previous e-mail Tom was plannig on marrying a Swedish lesbian. Tom's plans are generally fluid in nature. So it goes.
Well I should get all the studying in that I can before I am charged with child care.
